Princeton Town Center Real Estate Market Update

Are you lucky enough to live in Princeton’s fabled downtown? From The Tree Streets, to Moore St to Palmer Square this neighborhood offers it all. Close to town, proximity to everything that makes Princeton wonderful, the shops and restaurants, Princeton University, parks and the ultimate in town and gown lifestyle. Here is a quick update on how the real estate market in your neighborhood is shaping up in 2021! In short it will be the single best Sellers Market I have seen in my 30 years of real estate!

  • In 2020 the homes that settled through 2/24 took an average of 122 days to sell. In 2021….only 18 days!
  • In 2020 homes that sold through 2/24 the sellers received an average of 92% of their asking price….in 2021 100.7%! (homes are selling above the asking price)
  • There are only 12 homes for sale with the least expensive being $675,00 3b/2ba on Walnut to the most expensive being $2.725 million townhouse on Palmer Square.

In short this is a great year if you are thinking about selling your home. If you are a buyer you will have historically low interest rates to leverage but will face steep competition when you find that ‘perfect home!’
